California is Burning

I don't know about anyone else up here but it was hot as hell today at the office. September? Not like this. OMG we're burning! Next come the zombies I hope.

All jokes aside, California purgatory is costing us a whole lot of money that we don't have. And we are totally burning.

It gets better. The Taxinator is calling for Obama to fix our water crisis. Apparently everything is a mess here, I try not to notice.

The governor and the farming industry have been pressing the federal government to rewrite plans protecting species like the chinook salmon in a way that will lessen impacts on the water supply.

Idled farmworkers have driven the unemployment rate to nearly 40 percent in some dry pockets of the fertile San Joaquin Valley.

“What is the path forward so we can protect the species as well as the economy?” said California Department of Water Resources Director Lester Snow. “If they have a better way of doing this, they need to come forward with that better way.”

"a better way" might be code for "bailout"

Or tax cuts gone wild?

If you have been planning a trip to the Golden State, I recommend you do it now before things get any worse. Cheap tickets anyway, right? No one call this global warming, oops too late.
