BART Police are Busting Heads in the East Bay Again

I guess it only took us 11 months to forget Oscar Grant. Good job, BART PD.

KTVU Channel 2:

BART officials held a press conference Sunday afternoon in response to a YouTube video that shows a BART police officer pushing a drunken passenger into a window at the West Oakland BART station and breaking it.

The incident occurred on Saturday at 5:40 p.m., when BART police received reports of an intoxicated passenger yelling racial slurs and challenging other riders to fight. One passenger captured the police response on video.

The video, embedded below, is titled "BART cop breaks window w/drunk guy's face." It begins with a drunken passenger, identified by BART as 37-year-old Michael Joseph Gibson of San Leandro, screaming at a train car of riders while the train is stopped.

As one rider stands up and tells Gibson to leave, an unidentified BART officer comes from behind, grabs Gibson, pulls him off the train and into a platform window.

The YouTube video has actually been removed but it's not going anywhere.

I used to ride BART, there are plenty of outrageous BART riders that deserve to get their head slammed into glass. That doesn't mean it's okay.

Some say he’s half man half fish, others say he’s more of a seventy/thirty split. Either way he’s a fishy bastard.

Good thing the Fed didn't hire BART cops for security yesterday, huh!

Yeah but there weren't any drunks at End the Fed, now were there? ;)

I'm going to have to dispatch a goon to go see if they got "Zimbabwe Ben" off yet...
