Goodbye and Good Riddance, Chris Dodd

AP is reporting that Ding Dong the Dodd is Dead:

Connecticut Sen. Christopher Dodd, a five-term Democrat whose political stock began falling after the financial meltdown and his failed 2008 presidential bid, has decided not to seek re-election in November, Democratic officials told The Associated Press early Wednesday.

Let's play our favorite game of two scenarios:

A bigger douche takes his place. Given his district's questionable choices over the years (hello, Chris Dodd, I'm still talking about you), I'm putting my money on this one. It's the old "careful what you wish for" like in the case of not reconfirming Ben Bernanke. You want Larry Summers? We got him, he's ready to go. Bigger douche. I'm all in.

The second scenario, the good people of Connecticut finally extract their heads from their asses and put a bad ass in there. He lasts a term and is ousted in favor of the next hack to pass corrupt and lame bills in Dodd's place.

Again, lose-lose.

Some say he’s half man half fish, others say he’s more of a seventy/thirty split. Either way he’s a fishy bastard.

Now, picture this. Many moons from now, an asshat like Dodd beholden to the Bank of China. Not a pretty picture, huh?
