Jamie Dimon: California is Worse Off Than Greece

 the Dimon Shocker.
You should be used to it by now

Just doing my part to distribute this information on the Web. Really? What would possess Jamie Dimon to say such a thing? He's really slipping, I seem to remember a time when he was a true gangster, now he's getting sloppy.

San Francisco Business Times:

Comments last month by J.P. Morgan Chase's CEO saying he's more worried about California's solvency than Greece's are finding new life as they circulate around the web.

Jamie Dimon made the remarks at an investor conference Feb. 25.

Outlets like the Huffington Post, a widely read political blog, posted the comments on Monday.

“Greece itself would not be an issue for this company, nor would any other country,” Dimon said. “We don’t really foresee the European Union coming apart.”

Now one could take this literally to mean Jamie Dimon is implying California is in bigger financial shit than Greece but really he's probably only considering his own bank's exposure to California's fiscal malaise. Duh. Still, who says that?!

Huffington Post also points out that California is now worse off than Kazakhstan. I am not familiar with Kazakhstan's financial situation but I can only imagine.

California? Yeah, we're not doing too good over here, thanks for caring, JD.

Some say he’s half man half fish, others say he’s more of a seventy/thirty split. Either way he’s a fishy bastard.
