SJ Mercury News:

A woman accused of giving an IRS official $2,000 and a $100 Starbucks gift card to avoid a tax liability has been charged in San Francisco federal court.

Court records show Kim Oahn Thi Tran, also known as Jennifer Kim Tran, was charged Thursday with bribery of a public official.

Authorities say Tran was being audited and owed more than $13,000 on unreported income in 2006 and 2007.
