Soldiers killed themselves at a rate of one per day in June, says USA Today.

Jr Deputy Accountant

Some say he’s half man half fish, others say he’s more of a seventy/thirty split. Either way he’s a fishy bastard.

All other factors being equal, the more suicide counseling the Army gives you, the more you'll want to kill yourself. If nothing else so you won't have to hear idiots droning on....

Psychological illness is an weakness. That's why it's an illness. Illness = Weakness.

And the people who will keep pushing the hardest are your best soldiers.

And yes who we are - people who keep up the side, and don't let their problems stand in the way of the mission (which is really to support your brothers). We don't like to admit weaknesses.

And no goddamn it I am not a suicide risk.

Of course there's going to be a culture clash between the therapeutic culture and the warrior culture.

Do you think the two (therapeutic culture and warrior culture) can coexist in a way that actually helps instead of hurts? It seems we've completely lost the battle on this front...

But then again we could just form a committee to look into the matter and call it a day.
