Janet Yellen Goes No Comment on Monetary Policy in San Francisco
I get it, she's probably sick of talking about the economy at this point and too busy packing her bags ahead of her move to DC to care.
Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco President Janet Yellen introduced a panel of mortgage specialists Thursday, but refrained from comments about the economy or monetary policy.
Yellen opened a public hearing on The Home Mortgage Disclosure Act at the Fed's San Francisco facility by noting that the hearing, the first of several around the country, was an opportunity to reflect on the lessons learned from the recent turmoil in the mortgage market.
So we can reflect on the past but not discuss the future or, more importantly, how we are going to get to the future with the dollar still intact?
Classy, Janet, way classy.
