TLP: Has It Gotten This Bad?

Say what you will about the Tea Party candidates who are making a showing this year, at least they seem committed to what they're doing. Maybe they don't all have political experience, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Then there's this guy.

The Donald just offered a perfect tutorial in how a developer-mogul-turned-celebrity-television-host can effectively manipulate the political press to gain maximum exposure.

The lesson came this morning, in the wake of that New Hampshire poll the other day that purported to test voter attitudes toward a possible presidential candidacy by Donald Trump.

After telling CNN this weekend that he knew nothing about the poll and that “it’s certainly not something I’ve talked about or would consider,” Mr. Trump said exactly the opposite on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

He told hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski that his is “absolutely thinking about” a presidential run in 2012, saying that “somebody” has to do something to turn the country around.
But does that somebody have to be him? You'd think Trump would have enough to keep him busy with the wheezing real estate market, the stunning collapse of his casinos and whatever the fuck it is he does on the teevee.

Even with that hair and the random sideshows of beauty pageant rescues and occasional bitchfights with whomever calls him out as being less than awesomely marvelous in all that he does, there's a lot more entertainment value in a would-be witch who has issues with masturbation.

The Lazy Paperboy

Some say he’s half man half fish, others say he’s more of a seventy/thirty split. Either way he’s a fishy bastard.

He's a giant douche. He threatened to run for the Presidency back in the late 80's or early 90's, and that was before his companies went bankrupt a few times.

His financial track record is worse than Sabrina's.

It wasn't just a bankruptcy - it was a cratering meltdown. How the man has managed to refurbish his image as some sort of business "expert" is beyond me.
