In "you can't make this up, people" news, a San Francisco community group thinks SF's trademark gay pride flags waving all over the gay part of town (read: the Castro and some parts of Mission/Dolores) are infringing on the lampposts' rights to not have anything hanging from them.

Oh San Francisco, surely you have something better to do? Like debating the historic value of human excrement marring the pavement?
